Hello everyone! I wanted to write this quick blogpost because I was inspired by all of your comments to create written content. And that idea led to several other ideas of where I want the direction of The Psychpod to go. As you can tell from our website the purpose of me creating this was to inspire, educate, and intrigue. And that’s exactly what is happening. I would like to create a community of followers who are seeking to gain inspiration from the world around us to help promote world peace, awareness, and education. Many people often doubt themselves and their abilities for various reasons. I know I have been there myself, but the truth is that sometimes we really are capable of much more than what we are willing to give ourselves credit for. That is why I have decided to embark on the journey of creating a newsletter, where you guys can send in questions, stories of inspiration…or humor (sometimes we can learn from embarrassing moments in life, we can't take ourselves too seriously), share your struggles and successes. We really never know how something we share with the world can inspire, educate, or intrigue someone out there. I want to create a Newsletter putting the spotlight on our listeners and supporters giving them an outlet to go to for advice, support, education, awareness, and inspiration!
When I came into this field, I had a very ambitious goal, I wanted to make the world a better place through expressing my love and creativity. I always found myself going above and beyond for the people around me. At times I struggled to find a balance between my personal life and my career but at the end of the day, knowing that you genuinely provided empathy, support, guidance, courage, or hope to another person is one of the most rewarding feelings you can ever experience! I’ve worked in this field in one capacity or the other for over 10 years, I began my work volunteering at a Hospice when I was 17 years old and I quickly became inspired and intrigued with the human mind and wanting to make the world a better place. It was a life changing experience that impacted the future of my whole career. It humbled me and helped me gain a deeper gratitude for life. Since then I became involved with every organization that I was interested in and passionate about through volunteer work, employment, or through practicum via my formal education. My interest in working with diverse populations and different areas in psychology has shifted over the past 10 years and I have had the privilege to work with many unique and inspiring individuals. Creativity, courage, resiliency, and the human will is something that always inspires me to keep moving forward, and it’s all around us!
Please send in your questions, stories, comments, suggestions, or feedback to email@example.com. If there is someone or something that inspires you let us know! Keep spreading inspiration! We will begin to read through them to create various columns for The Psychpod Newsletter.
I still need to work out the frequency of this newsletter given the time and production costs of creating content for The Psychpod and the time that will be required to sort through emails. So, stay tuned for updates!
